Why Join Transition Exmouth?

• Be part of the local movement working to address the global Climate and Ecological Emergency. Have you checked out our story so far? 

• We are committed to being an equitable, diverse and inclusive charity.

• Receive a regular e-newsletter which informs and connects you to local environmental groups and events. 

• Listen to engaging monthly speakers, meet and network with other eco conscious people at our Green Drinks social events

• Support our core team of volunteers who are influencing local statutory services and working within the local network Voluntary and Community Sector to connect people to nature and reduce carbon emission.

• Your subscription will go toward the action we take locally, supporting out projects and events 

• Get support for your own ideas that benefit the local environment and the planet.

• Members can vote at the Annual Group Meeting (AGM) and become a trustee of the organisation which means setting you can help set the direction of the charity too.

What is our mission?

“To strengthen the community’s response to climate change, inequality and shrinking supplies of resources, including energy, water and land, by building long-term town resilience and reducing carbon emissions.”

How much is membership?

​

Annual membership is £5, £10 or £50 - please pay what you can afford.  
We have a zero rate of membership for people on low income and students.

What does this pay for:

​

Subscriptions pay for the costs of running the charity which includes hiring halls, pay speakers, annual public liability insurance, website fees, printing, stalls at festivals etc.

How can I join?

​

• Live in or around Exmouth. Or run a not for profit group, business or faith group in Exmouth.

• Share our mission. Transition Exmouth membership is open to any individual or group who shares this mission.
